Last night the Cougar cross country team finished their regular season at home against cross town rival, Pinon Mesa.~ All four teams won their races, meaning all four teams finished the regular season undefeated.
Xyrie Goeson won the varsity girls race, with Haley Pratt 3rd, Briana Bowman 5th, Rylie Widmer 6th, Jaelynn Alvarado 7th, Maddie Wilson 8th, Simone Barnes 9th and Jacey Hernandez 10th.
Erick Machuca won the varsity boys race, with Nathan Delgado taking 2nd, Lucas Glaze 4th, Josh Varela 5th, Pete Gonzalez 6th, and Jimmy Castillo 7th.
Jasmin Martinez won the jv girls race, Tatumn Maurice was 4th, Taylor Rogers was 5th, Madisyn Foulk was 6th, and Ali Stepp was 7th.
In the jv boys race, Jacob Bannon took first place, Carlos Garcia was 2nd, Anthony Duarte was 3rd, Ayden Eddie was 4th, and Hayden Evenson took 5th place after a terrible fall.
The Cougars compete in the HDAL League Finals next Thursday in Apple Valley.~ If you see any of the cross country runners, please congratulate them on an incredible undefeated season!!!!

If you are in 8th grade and would like to try out for our ASB elective class, you can get an application packet in the ASB office. ONLY 8th grade students with no Fs, Ns, or Us can tryout. The space is limited for the class, so please get your applications completed and turned into the ASB office by Wednesday, October 2 or earlier. Good luck!
In order to raise money for the upcoming soccer season, the Quail Valley Boys’ soccer team will be hosting a penalty kick shootout on Friday, Sept. 27th. All students and adults are welcome to participate. The cost is $10.00 per shooter, paid to the ASB office by Tuesday, Sept. 24th. There will even be a semi-pro goalie in the goal.
