This afternoon at lunchtime, bring any cougar cash you have if you want to get some Oreos! You can get 3 Oreos for $5 cougar cash today only up on the stage!
This Friday's spirit day is Twin Day! Dress like a friend or group of friends to earn 10 Cougar Cash! You must come to the stage with your twin or twins on Friday to get your cash.
There will be a REN Activity for those that earned a sticker on this last report card. Make sure you bring your ID card on Thursday to get in to the special assembly!
Don't miss out on the next Saturday Academy January 25th from 8am-12pm. Come experience the Winter Olympics through hands on academic activities. Be sure to have your permission slips turned in by this Thursday to secure your spot!
Here are some activities that are available during lunch:
· Monday's & Friday's - Basketball - Participants will be determined by Admin.
In order to play, you Must EAT first. Line up along the wall of the outside wall area of the gym across from the Cougar Support Center. Mr. Hale and/or Mr. Bennett will supervise. Don’t line up until at least 10 minutes into lunch. If you are not lined up when they are ready, student(s) will NOT be allowed to go up to upper courts or gym.
· Tuesday's & Thursday's - Cornhole Game or Frisbee Golf
By Outside Lunch Area/Lawn
Please respect the adults who are in charge of these activities. Please follow the directions of the game and participate appropriately.
Attention writers- Young Authors is here! If you like to write stories and poetry then this is for you! Start writing now and come by room I-7 for an informational flyer. Selected stories will be published and displayed at the annual Young Authors' Conference in May.
Calling all Snowline artists, creative individuals, masterpiece makers and creators! The 20th~annual Young Artist Contest is off and running!~ Entries should be turned in to the office with a completed entry form signed by your parent/guardian.~ Entry deadline is March 13, 2020.~~
Fridays come out and play soccer. These are pick-up games open to any students and will be from 4 – 5. If you stay, you must play. It’s a good chance to meet the coach before tryouts in February. Make sure you get your physical before tryouts begin.
Start putting your acts together for the 23rd annual Quail Valley talent show. Auditions will be in March, but it’s not too early to start thinking and practicing. More information will be coming later.
Room H-10 is open for tutoring every morning, Monday through Friday. Come and get help with your homework or just have your work checked for accuracy.
CLUBS:
Chess Club -- Come learn to play the game of Kings. Chess Club meets Tuesdays in room H5 starting at 8:15. All levels are welcome - we will teach those who don't know how to play.
Christian Club – meets on Tuesday after school in room K-1 3:45 – 4:30
Science Olympiad – meets every Tuesday after school from 3:45-4:30pm in Ms. Baldwin’s room G-3. Please arrange for a parent to pick you up from school at 4:30 after our meeting.
Academic Pentathlon – meets Wednesday mornings at 8:00. 6th grade meet in Ms. Baldwin’s room G-3, 7th/8th grade meet in Mr. Hayes’ room, H-3. See you there! Pentathlon wear shirts on Wednesday. Old ones are okay too
Knitting Club -- Attention all students interested in learning how to knit. Knitting Club starts this Wednesday, in room I-5 at 8 am. See Mrs. Miller in I-5 if you have any questions.
