It's that time of year, Young Authors is here!  If you are interested in getting published then Young Authors is for you.  Begin drafting and writing your story or poems today.  If you are interested in participating in Young Authors this year, stop by Room I-7 to get an informational flyer.

We are having a spirit day competition this Friday!  The grade level with the highest percentage of participation will earn a special treat.  To participate, you need to wear something with the following color:
6th grade- TEAL
7th grade- PURPLE
8th grade- BLACK
Show some school spirit and help your grade level win!!

This Saturday is Saturday Academy. Please make sure you turn in your permission slips today! If you don't have one, pick one up in the main office.

Attention 8th graders: if you have NOT registered for the 2018 8th grade East Coast Trip, see Ms. Mankins in room H6 or Mrs. Abney in I-12 for a registration packet!!!

If you're an 8th grader already registered for the 2018 trip, fundraiser scratcher cards are available from Ms. Mankins in room H6. Purchase one for $5, BEFORE or AFTER school only.

Hey 7th graders, information on YOUR 8th grade trip in 2019 this forthcoming. Listen to announcements in the next few weeks so you can get the information early!! 

If you need school supplies, head to the student store in the ASB office, where supplies are available for purchase.  Things range from 25 cents to 1 dollar.  Check it out before school, at lunch, or after school!

Thank you to those of you that are still collecting and bringing Box Tops for Education to school. Please trim the box tops for education labels from General Mills cereal boxes, Betty Crocker and Kleenex products and many more. Put the box tops in a bag with your name on it and bring it to I-5 to receive a prize.  Thank you!

Students--If you have any more Postcards to give to Mrs. Canchola for delivery before Thanksgiving break, please bring those to her office today.  Remember to spread some joy and kindness today!

We are offering tutoring in Room H-10 for all grades in Math and Language Arts. Tuesday through Friday from 8.25 AM to 8.55AM, except minimum days.


Knitting Club -- Interested in learning how to knit? The Knitting Club will start next Tuesday, January 16 at 8 am in I-5. You may join the Knitting Club anytime during this quarter. For those of you who ride the bus, you're welcome to come to I-5 when your bus gets here.
Chess Club -- Meetings will be every Tuesday from 8-8:45 am in room H-5.  Bring your own chess board if you want.  
Drawing Club – meets Tuesdays after school from 3:45 - 4:30pm in room D -2 by the Library.  
Christian Club – meets every Tuesday from 3:45 – 4:30 in room E-2 

Computer Club – Computer Club will meet Wed from 8:00-8:45 in I-2.

Ski & Snowboard Club -- Scheduled meeting dates at Mt. High to ski and snowboard are on minimum day Thursdays (January 18, February 1st, February 15th and March 1).  For more information, speak to Mr. Scribner or Ms. Lovingood.  Think Snow!

Academic Pentathlon -- meets every Friday morning at 7:45 in room H-3, Mr. Hayes’ room.
