Attention all students running in the 100-meter dash:
The races~have been rescheduled for tomorrow morning.~ Please come to the locker room at 8:45 to get dressed and stretch.~ Then go to your first period teacher at 8:55 to check in and then head to the lower soccer field. The races~will begin by 9:05. Dress warmly!!!

All 8th students going on NASCAR Field Trip this Friday... Listen up... there is a change in the timing. You may ride the bus to school and all students need to be here by 8:45. Bus will be leaving then. You will be back to school in time to ride the bus home. Lunch will be provided.

Attention all 8th grade students going to the Science Center on the Train next Monday. You will need to be at the front of the school by 6:45am. The bus will be leaving promptly at 7:05am... we cannot be late! You will be returning about 6pm.
Wear green this Friday in celebration of St. Patrick's Day and earn some cougar cash!! Maybe you'll have some luck o' the Irish and find the hidden shamrocks on campus for a special surprise!

Tonight, at 6pm is the DEPARTURE meeting in the MulitPurpose Room/Lunch Room.
This is a very important night for you and your parents to attend. This is the ONLY meeting we will have as a full group of travelers and parents before we leave April 13th. There are lots of things to go-over!! At this meeting you will get our flight information, hotel information, & room assignments.
We will go over some packing specifics, some packing suggestions, and what NOT to pack.
If you have ANY questions or concerns for this meeting, please come see Ms. Mankins ASAP.

This is just a reminder that as soon as you get off the bus in the morning, you are to walk directly to the quad area and if you are getting breakfast, you need to go directly in to the cafeteria to eat (too many students are showing up late and then getting to class late--these are unexcused tardies).

Are you interested in Quail Valley Cheerleading? Pick up an information sheet in the ASB office! There will be a meeting for parents and students on Monday, March 18th right after school. You must have a current physical on file to attend tryouts.

Tryouts for the track and field team will begin on Monday, March 18th after school until 5 pm. All athletes interested in trying out for this year's team must have at least a 2.0 Grade Point Average on their 3rd quarter report card and have no U citizenship grades. All athletes must have a current athletic physical on file with Mr. Conkle. If you have any questions, please see Mr. McKenzie.

If you'd like to purchase a St. Patrick's Day Lucky Gram, they will be for sale BEFORE SCHOOL only March 8-15. They are 50 cents. Buy one to send to a friend or buy one for yourself!!
Talent show participants – the talent show will be on March 15th and the rehearsal will be after school on March 12th.
Room H-10 will be opened for tutoring, mornings at 8:25, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for all students.
Entry forms for the Snowline Young Artist Contest are in the main office. Your entry must be submitted the Quail Valley Office by March 13th!
If you are a 7th grader and you are interested in going on the Washington DC trip in 2020 as an 8th grader, get signed up now. For trip & registration information, go see Ms. Mankins in Room H6. You can register online and by phone.
The big Blue Recycling containers around campus are NOT trashcans. Please do not put food or trash in them. They are for water bottles or aluminum cans only (no paper trash). The money that is collected from recycling goes directly back to students to sponsor events such as field trips. Please respect the blue bins.
Did you run out of paper? Forget your pencil at home? Never fear, the Student Store is here! Come down to the ASB office to purchase basic school supplies for only $0.25 or $0.50 each.
