Your Quail valley boys’ soccer team put up an incredible fight against the undefeated Hesperia junior high.~
With a starting line that consisted of two 6th graders , Quail found themselves leading at half 1-0. This is an unprecedented position for a team to be in versus Hesperia.~
Isaiah Flores opened the scoring with a perfect penalty kick proving once again how reliable he is. Nathan Munoz played an incredible game up top with a defense that has perfected the art of the elbow. It was a foul on Nathan that earned the team a penalty kick.~
Andrew Nelsen also played forward bringing a smart mind with a great first touch.~
Jimmy Castillo scored the only other goal on a beautiful corner. Jimmy also passed the ball with great technical skill and created exciting scoring opportunities. Captains Anthony Potter and Jaiden Espinoza played as center backs and were dominant in their position and leadership. Adrian Perez continues to excel as our left back, clearing the ball before aggressive and self controlled Hesperia team could get there.~
Sergio Ruelas played a most impressive game as right back without any hesitation or fear.~
Travis Hernandez continued his superior play in the midfield stopping kids two years older than him with ease.~
Captain Anderson Lemus , the king of crosses, once again proved his worth as an attacking mid for striker support and as a defensive mid for back line support.~~
Aaron Pratt took a ball to the face and stayed in the game to ensure our best line up was out there.~
Brandon Quezada played an excellent game in goal with beautiful saves that highlighted his quick reflexes and thought process.~
Trevor Mello once again played up top and created a couple opportunities. Nice job Trevor !!!!~
Come support your cougars today as we take on Cedar for a highly anticipated rematch.~
