Room H-10 is open for tutoring every morning, Monday through Friday. Come and get help with your homework or just have your work checked for accuracy.
Don't miss out on the next eventful Saturday Academy this Saturday the 16th from 8am-noon. Make sure to get your permission slips turned in to the front office no later than Thursday to secure your spot!
This Friday is super hero day! Wear your favorite super hero gear to get Cougar Cash! You can wear capes, shirts, or costumes of your favorites or create your own super hero. No masks! And as usual, dress code applies.
If you participated in the Cherrydale fundraiser, the game truck and mega party will take place tomorrow! If you sold 5 items or more, the mega party will begin at 3:10pm. If you sold 15 items or more, you can spend all 3 lunches in the game truck!
If you are an 8th grader participating in the DC Trip telethon fundraiser on Thursday November 14th (That's this week!!), you need to go check-in with Ms. Mankins today or tomorrow. She needs an accurate count of who is participating since she is buying food for the night. The telethon is THIS Thursday from 6:00 to 8:30 in Room H6. Make sure you bring your phone and your List of 20 with you on the night of the telethon. If you have any questions, go see Ms. Mankins in Room H6, as soon as possible.
Attention all 8th graders NOT signed-up for the East Coast trip in June 2020: The trip has changed. It is now a 7day trip. This change has lowered the price. We are still visiting the cities of New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. If your parents/guardians are still considering sending you on this trip, you can sign-up anytime ONLINE. If you need the information for signing-up, go see Ms. Mankins in room H6!
All wrestlers, please return your wrestling singlets to Mr. McKenzie.
There are still a few cross country runners who have not turned in their jerseys to Mr. McKenzie. Turn them in!
CLUBS:
Chess Club -- Come learn to play the game of Kings. Chess Club meets Tuesdays in room H5 starting at 8:15. All levels are welcome - we will teach those who don't know how to play.
Christian Club – meets on Tuesday after school in room K-1 3:45 – 4:30
Science Olympiad – meets every Tuesday after school from 3:45-4:30pm in Ms. Baldwin’s room G-3. Please arrange for a parent to pick you up from school at 4:30 after our meeting.
Academic Pentathlon – meets Wednesday mornings at 8:00. 6th grade meet in Ms. Baldwin’s room G-3, 7th/8th grade meet in Mr. Hayes’ room, H-3. See you there!
