WOW!!! Yesterday, the 8th graders ALMOST won the grade level perfect attendance competition!!
There were ONLY four (4) 8th graders absent (out of 289 students!)
Seventh grade was a VERY close 2nd with only eight (8) 7th graders absent (out of 307 students!)
Remember that we have a special reward for the entire grade level if there is ever a day that ALL students in that grade level are at school!!! Don't be the one person to not be here!! Always be at school! Every day counts!

This Friday's spirit day is twin day! Plan ahead and dress as a twin... or triplet... or quadruplet with others! You all need to come together to the stage on Friday morning to get your cougar cash. As always dress code applies!
Picture Make up Day is Friday, Oct 5th. Students who need retakes or who were not enrolled or absent on Fall picture day (August 31) need to get pictures that day.
Keep your lollipops safe and clean while you're in class with your robot lollipop holder! The ASB Office will be selling lollipop holders starting tomorrow for $3.
7th and 8th graders: application packets for the ASB class are due back by Thursday, Oct. 9. See Mr. or Mrs. Grijalva if you have any questions.
HERE IS CADET CORPS’ FIRST SERGEANT IGNACIO GONZALEZ WITH AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Cadet Corps students attending the parade on Saturday return your signed permission slip by tomorrow.
Just a reminder that breakfast food must stay in the cafeteria in the morning. Please do not bring milk, juice, food, etc. out to the quad in the morning as we don't have outside trash cans set up until lunch time. If you are going to save an item such as a granola bar or pop tart for later in the morning, please put it away in your backpack before leaving the cafeteria in the morning.
Students--We are keeping track of attendance by grade level and are working on some great rewards for the grade level that has the best attendance. We have kept data since the 1st day of school, so your past good attendance will count for you! We are also going to take in to account if students attend a Saturday Academy & give additional credit for those students who made up absences on those days! So if you are absent, be sure to attend the next Saturday Academy which is October 13th (write that date in your Binder!)
Also--we are continuing our grade level challenge again this year.

The big Blue Recycling containers around campus are NOT trashcans. Please do not put food or trash in them. They are for water bottles or aluminum cans only (no paper trash). The money that is collected from recycling goes directly back to students to sponsor events such as field trips. Please respect the blue bins.
Did you run out of paper? Forget your pencil at home? Never fear, the Student Store is here! Come down to the ASB office to purchase basic school supplies for only $0.25 or $0.50 each.
